Sustainable Selections (animal feed program)

Rendering/Expired Meats

One of our options of the rendering project is Sustainable Selections.

Quest Recycling is currently in the process of implementing a nation-wide program to supply past-sell by-date meat products to the animals living at zoos, parks, and other facilities throughout the United States. The program will be a cooperative venture with minimal monthly fees. These fees are necessary to offset the costs associated with the administration of the program, the provision of a high level of vendor insurance to the membership, the paper-work associated with monthly reports and the overall management of the membership and store relationships. The stated goal of the program is to eliminate each members animal feed bills.

The concept of the program has been in test pilots for several years at numerous facilities across the country. Quest’s Marketing Director Jason Smith, spear-headed the initial drive to expand the test markets into a national offering. Upon seeing the tremendous response from the animal world, Quest Recycling went forward with plans to build a new company to solely handle this project. With the increased workload and attention it became quickly evident that additonal help was needed and the company brought on the current Project Manager, Robin Sweere. Robin and Jason are both currently involved in this project, and are dedicated to the success of Sustainable Selections.
